Addis Ababa: Foreign Affairs Ministers of African countries are arriving in Addis Ababa for the 44th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Executive Council. The 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council will be held from February 14-15, 2024 in Addis Ababa. AU member States Foreign Affairs Ministers are arriving in the capital to participate at meeting. Accordingly, the Comorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed El-Amine Souef, the Cabo Verdean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Regional Integration, Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares, and Minister of External Relations of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella arrived at Bole International Airport. Also, the Acting and State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, Ali Mohamed Omar, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burundi, Amb. Albert Shingiro, have also arrived. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by the Chief of State Protocol, Melaku Bedada at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. It brought together ISIE President, Farouk Bouasker, and a delegation from the Interior Ministry. The session focused on a series of organizational measures to be taken for the success of the final stages of the electoral process and the establishment of the elected councils on time and under the best conditions, the ISIE said. Bouasker insisted on the importance of coordination so as to ensure cohesion between decentralized authorities. The working session was also attended by ISIE Deputy President Mohamed Naoufel Frikha, ISIE Executive Director Ridha Missaou, and member of the Council of the ISIE Najla Abrougui.
