Tinubu Accepts Minister Uche Nnaji’s Resignation Amid Certificate Forgery Allegations

Abuja: President Bola Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Uche Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, following allegations of certificate forgery. The announcement was made in a statement by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, President Tinubu appointed Nnaji in August 2023. In his resignation letter, Nnaji expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve the country. He claimed that he has been a target of blackmail by political opponents.

Tinubu thanked Nnaji for his service and conveyed his best wishes for Nnaji's future endeavors. An online report alleged that Nnaji forged certificates from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and the national youth service, which he presented to secure his ministerial position.
