Abuja: The Forum for Graduates of Saudi Universities in Nigeria and Neighboring Countries is set to commence its sessions on Monday in Abuja, supported by Saudi universities. The Saudi Embassy's Press attache, Mohammed Alsahabi, confirmed the event in a statement to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the three-day forum will bring together Saudi-educated alumni from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Gabon, and neighboring regions to discuss their contributions to sustainable development. Participants will engage in dialogues and presentations highlighting their impact on education, agriculture, economy, media, and humanitarian sectors.

The forum will feature academic experts from Nigeria and Saudi Arabia who will provide insights into utilizing higher education for community and national transformation. Success models such as the 'Cooperative Microfinance Window' will be showcased, aiming to support small businesses and bolster economic resilience.

Additionally, sessions will focus on initiatives like 'Cattle Fattening Projects' for enhancing food security and rural development, along with educational efforts in Quran memorization and teacher training. These case studies demonstrate how Saudi-trained graduates are transforming academic knowledge into practical solutions.

The event will also present projects from Chad, Cameroon, and Gabon, highlighting Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to human development in West and Central Africa. Organisers describe the forum as a strategic platform for exchanging ideas, fostering institutional collaboration, and aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
