Both candidates for the December 24 local elections in the El Mida district (Governorate of Nabeul) Chaker Ben Belgacem and Kais Ben Ayed are continuing their election campaigns for a seat on the town's next local council. Candidate Chaker Ben Belgacem pledged to work towards beautifying the town of El Mida, bringing public services closer to citizens, setting up an emergency service at the local hospital, asphalting arterial roads and agricultural tracks in the region and overcoming problems with the supply of boreholes. For his part, candidate Kaais Ayed underlined that his programme is based on attracting major industrial projects with high employability, pledging to relaunch blocked projects such as those for the municipal market and the wholesale market. He promised to develop the region's agricultural and tourism sectors. Four candidates in the El Mida constituency are vying for a seat on the El Mida local council.
