Abuja: Kwara Government, in collaboration with Digital Equity Africa, has successfully trained 200 school children from various parts of the state on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve real-world problems.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the participants were selected from both public and private primary and junior secondary schools through a seamless selection process. At the grand finale held in Ilorin, the Managing Director of Ilorin Innovation Hub, Mr. Temi Kolawole, highlighted that the training demonstrated the government's commitment to digital inclusion. Kolawole expressed satisfaction with the pupils' creative skills and was optimistic about their future potential.
The CEO of Digital Equity Africa, Mrs. Justina Oha, emphasized that the session was not only about imparting technological knowledge but also about shaping mindsets. She highlighted the importance of nurturing innovation and helping young individuals see themselves as creators of the digital future. Oha praised the partnership between the government and the Ilorin Innovation Hub for their dedication to digital literacy and inclusion in Kwara.
One of the participants, Abdulkareem Khadijat, expressed gratitude to the state government and Digital Equity Africa for offering the platform to acquire digital skills and become proficient in AI.
