Igbinedion University Extends Prof. Mora’s Council Membership

Abuja: The Zazzau Emirate Council has commended the renewal of the appointment of Prof. Ahmed Mora as a council member of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo state. This decision reflects the continued trust and appreciation for Prof. Mora's contributions to the institution.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the renewal, announced by the Emirate's Media and Publicity Office, extends Prof. Mora's term for an additional three years. Mora has been serving on the university's council since 2022 and previously contributed to the Board of Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital (IUTH) from 2020 to 2022.

Prof. Mora is a distinguished scholar with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Pharmacy and a Master of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto. His professional credentials include membership in the National Institute and fellowships with the West African Post-graduate College of Pharmacists and the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.

In his career, Prof. Mora led the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria as Registrar/CEO from October 2003 to January 2012. During this time, he spearheaded a significant restructuring and transformation of the council, enhancing its role in global pharmacy regulation. He has also served in various capacities on the PCN Governing Council, including as Chairman.
