FCT NSCDC Conducts Route March to Boost Officers’ Resilience, Mental Health

Abuja: The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Command has conducted a route march aimed at enhancing the resilience and mental health of its personnel to improve service delivery.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, emphasized that the exercise was essential for maintaining the fitness of all personnel. He highlighted the importance of mental agility, resilience, and teamwork in effectively discharging their duties. Odumosu stressed the significance of taking health seriously, linking physical fitness to operational readiness and the ability to remain effective in line with global standards for paramilitary and military officers.

The commandant noted that the route march was a preparation for personnel to confidently meet emerging security challenges. He described readiness as an ongoing commitment to discipline and self-improvement. Odumosu also praised the participants for their enthusiasm and determination during the exercise.

In a warning to criminals and vandals in the FCT, Odumosu stated that the corps is intensifying efforts to ensure arrests and prosecutions. He urged those involved in criminal activities to leave the territory, as the corps is prepared to confront vandals directly.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the route march commenced from the command headquarters, passing through Wuse Market, Wuye Bridge, Berger Roundabout, and returning to the command.
