Abuja: The Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed a no-case submission filed by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Justice James Omotosho ruled that the Department of State Services (DSS) has established a prima facie case against Kanu, necessitating his defence in the alleged terrorism trial.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the judge found that the evidence presented by the prosecution, through its five witnesses, required Kanu to provide explanations for the charges against him. Justice Omotosho has adjourned the matter until Oct. 8 for the hearing of the report of the Nigerian Medical Association.
