Boromo Health District Introduces New Reception and Information Service

Ouagadougou: The Boromo health district now supports its service users and visitors with a new service specifically dedicated to reception, information, and guidance. The activities of this information center were launched on Thursday, October 24, 2025, by the Secretary General of the Bale province, Asseta Kouanda.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the new service is located approximately fifty meters to the right of the medical center's entrance. The team in charge of this service is composed of staff from the medical center and the health district specializing in healthcare and health administration. The service is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The reception area is easily identifiable thanks to a large, bright sign opposite the building, which reads "Reception and Information Service" and displays the health district logo. The service is adjacent to the CMA pharmacy and faces the parking lot inside the entrance.

According to the chief medical officer of the health district, Hippolyte Bouda, the space is dedicated to listening to, guiding, and ensuring the satisfaction of users of the healthcare system. Its main mission is to welcome and inform users about the services and operation of health services, to collect complaints, suggestions, and concerns from users, to process complaints within the jurisdiction of the health district, to notify complaints and the follow-up to their requests, and to ensure the monitoring of the implementation of recommendations.

Dr. Bouda encouraged the public to use the information and reception service to obtain information or file complaints, ensuring their concerns and suggestions are better addressed while also protecting them from rumors and misinformation circulating on social media.

The service now serves as the interface between users and the health administration. It is also tasked with defusing tensions and frustrations between those accompanying patients and healthcare workers, and fostering a calm and understanding environment conducive to the well-being of the population and the proper care of patients.

The provincial secretary general commended the administrative authorities for this innovation, which she believes will bring greater credibility and transparency to the district's actions and activities.
