Biochemistry Practitioners Urge Federal Government to Prioritise Alternative Medicine

Abuja: The Biochemistry Practitioners, Plant Treatment Oasis Association of Nigeria, has made a call to the Federal Government to prioritise the use of alternative medicine to improve the health of Nigerians. This appeal was made by the President of the Association, Olayemi Ikotun, during the association's 2025 conference held on Saturday in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the conference, themed 'Advancement of Natural Plant Supplement in Nigeria,' was organized to showcase the benefits of alternative medicine. Ikotun stated that the conference aimed to induct new members and educate the public on the significance of alternative medicine. He emphasized the use of effective natural medicinal supplements and raw plant materials to enhance health without side effects.

Ikotun explained that the association provides effective natural medicine supplements and raw material plans to individuals, aiming to address healthcare challenges faced by the population. He noted that natural plant supplements could address issues such as Fibroid and Pile, among other health challenges. The association has undertaken research, produced natural supplements, and participated in national summits to demonstrate the efficacy of these supplements.

Ikotun urged the government to recognize their efforts and prioritize alternative medicine to improve public health. He highlighted that natural medicinal supplements have the potential to promote longevity, as evidenced by older generations who relied on alternative medicine.

The event also included the induction of new members and presentations on natural medicinal supplements, underscoring the association's ongoing commitment to alternative healthcare solutions.
