Abuja: The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the closure of its National Secretariat in Abuja in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari. Mr Felix Morka, the party's National Publicity Secretary, made this announcement in a statement on Monday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the closure of the secretariat was directed by the Acting National Chairman of the APC, Malam Bukar Dalori. The closure began on Monday, with plans to reopen the office on Thursday. Morka encouraged party members to use this time for quiet reflection and prayers for the repose of Buhari's soul.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Buhari, who served as a two-term president of Nigeria under the APC, passed away in a private hospital in London on Sunday. His death has prompted a period of national mourning and reflection among party members and citizens.
