Managers from Regional Bureau of Tanzania Regional Authority (TMA) have been asked to ensure better communication of weather services in their region.

These instructions were given by the Director General of TMA Dr. Ladislaus Chang'a during the opening of a strategic communication workshop for community services, organized for capacity building for the regional centers to communicate in a better and simple way. The training took place in Kibaha, Coast on 10-11 July 2019, and collected managers from the TMA regional offices, climate experts from the CFO and a communication expert from the Prime Minister's Office.

'When you reach the end of this training, I need to find better communication strategies for our services in your work zones which are aimed at improving weather information and thus contributing to our country' s goals of the central economy ' , said Dr. Stick

In addition, he continued to urge these authorities to make sure they improve their work performance by increasing efforts in everything that is done in particular the way to reach stakeholders and the general public.

The training workshop has been developed by TMA for the Department for International Development (DFID) project through the Weather and Climate Information Services for Africa (WISER), aimed at enhancing broadcasting, distribution and use of weather information.
