TANZANIA’S ANTI-GRAFT AGENCY LAUNCHES MANHUNT FOR ITS FORMER ACCOUNTANT

DAR-ES-SALAAM, Tanzania's Prevention and Combating Corruption Bureau (PCCB) has launched a manhunt and offered a reward of 10 million Tanzanian shillings (about 4,450 US dollars) for information leading to the capture of an accountant previously exmployed by the anti-graft agency.

The accountant, Godfrey Gugai, is wanted on suspicion of having amassed wealth through corrupt means. he previously served at the PCCB headquarters in Dar-es-Salaam.

Gugai disappeared as investigations over his wealth, which included two high-rise buildings, five houses and several plots of land, were ongoing.
