TANZANIAN PRESIDENT OFF TO NAIROBI FOR KENYATTA’S INAUGURATION TUESDAY

DAR-ES-SALAAM, Tanzanian President John Magufuli will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi Tuesday, says the Director of Tanzania Information Services and Chief Government Spokesperson Dr Hassan Abbasi.

Information from Nairobi has also confirmed that more than 20 Heads of State and Government, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will be attending the swearing-in ceremony as President Kenyatta begins a second five-year term.

However, Kenya's worst political crisis in a decade is expected to drag on as leading opposition figure Raila Odinga, the defeated presidential election candidate, has rejected Kenyatta's victory as illegitimate and started a "national resistance movement" to force another election within six months.
