RABAT, The visiting Tanzanian Foreign Minister, Augustine Mahiga, has lauded the vision of Morocco's King Mohammed VI regarding the issue of migration.
Speaking to the media here Tuesday after calling on his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, the Tanzanian foreign minister l thanked Morocco for the invitation extended to Tanzania to participate in the three-day Regional Retreat on Migration, which kicked off Monday in Skhirate on the outskirts of Rabat.
He also highlighted the humanitarian, security and development implications of migration, noting that the world "is witnessing today the largest movement of migrants and refugees since the end of the Second World War".
He also noted that Tanzania and Morocco enjoyed firm relations, and added that Tanzania strongly supported Morocco's return to the African Union (AU) early this year.
