DAR-ES-SALAAM, President John Magufuli has named the Chairman of the Tanzania Revenue Authority, Professor Florens Luoga, as the new Governor of the Bank of Tanzania (BOT), succeeding Professor Beno Ndulu, 67, who has retired.
The President made the announcement at State House Dar-es-Salaam Monday, shortly after presenting certificates of appreciation to the members of presidential investigation committee on mineral concentrates.
Prof Ndulu had served as the governor of central bank since 2008.
Prof Luoga was only named chairman of the TRA Board of Directors by President Magufuli in July this year.
