Students from the Pan-African Observatory for Unity, Integrity and Sovereignty (OPUIS) set up clubs in Ouagadougou on Saturday to bring together young people around the development of Burkina Faso and Africa in general, AIB noted on site. "These clubs are set up to train young people to get involved in building our nation and the African continent," said the president of the OPUIS clubs, Samiratou Tiendrebéogo. The ceremony was held under the theme: 'Youth leadership for community impact.' According to the president, the clubs will begin their first activities in the coming days. The speaker, Clément Zongo, speaking about the theme of the meeting, indicated that it is about reminding young people of the role and function of the leader in order to encourage them to act effectively in their development actions. "The creation of OPUIS clubs responds to the need to edu cate young people and train them so that they understand the need to develop their country," he added. According to him, at the end of this activity, the club members will be more motivated to act for a profound transformation of Burkina Faso and Africa in general.
