Bizerte Mobile Bridge successfully lifted on Sunday.

The technical and management teams in charge of the first phase of the project of renewing the electromechanical system of Bizerte Mobile Bridge, Sunday, successfully carried out the tentative lift bridge and the testing of the new system installed there. Several ships docked in the Commercial Port of Bizerte (Menzel Bourguiba) were able to leave the Port. Head of the Local Relief Organization Committee and Governor of Bizerte, Samir Abdellaoui, commended the efforts made by all parties to help resume the operation of the Bizerte Mobile Bridge. He pointed out that the bridge's operating system will be renewed, adding that its electrical networks as well as the fire protection system and the surveillance system will be renovated. A fire broke out on July 26 in one of the electrical adjustment stations located at the bottom of the control cabin of the Bizerte Mobile Bridge, causing major material damage.
