DAR-ES-SALAAM-- The 42nd Dar-es-Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) to be held here from July 13 is expected to attract a record number of more than 30 countries, with 2,900 local and foreign companies around the world taking part.
This has prompted the organizers, the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE), to open a special business clinic with the aim of addressing various challenges facing businessmen during the exhibition, TANTRADE Director-General Edwin Rutageruka told the media here over the weekend . The 42nd DITF is expected to kick off on July 13 with 120 government institutions taking in the exhibition.
He said the trade fair will focus on the encouragement of sustainable business development to meet the government's agenda of industrialisation. This year we expect to receive many international companies from over 30 countries around the world.
We also expect to open a special business clinic with the aim of solving various business challenges and building a conducive business environment. Different experts from Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), and Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), among others, will run the clinic and provide treatment, he said.
He pointed out that the exhibition aimed to provide an opportunity to government, foreign and local companies to learn and promote their businesses, which will take place for sixteen days and is predicted to contain stiff competition among exhibitors.
Under the theme 'Commercial development for industrial development' he said the exhibition is designed to ensure that the government efforts in promoting and improving the business environment will be achieved for the country's economic growth.
