Host Cameroon suffered a shocking 1-2 loss to Tanzania in their final preparatory match on Sunday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisport Stadium in Yaounde.
The defeat served a setback to the preparations of 'Les Lionnes' ahead of the impending 10th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for 19 November to 3 December 2016 in the Cameroonian cities of Yaounde and Limbe.
The Tanzanians scored twice in five minutes before half time courtesy a double from Omary Mwanahamisi after Agnes Nkada had shot the Cameroonians into the lead on 38 minutes.
It was the second meeting between the two sides after 'Les Lionnes' had beaten the Twiga Stars 2-0 four days earlier at the same venue. Ajara Nchout and Michele Ngono Mani scored in either half to ensure victory.
The Cameroonians had earlier beaten Kenya, 1-0 in Nairobi and 2-1 in Yaounde as part of their preparations for the final tournament.
The host will face Egypt in the opening match of the tournament on 19 November 2016 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisport Stadium in Yaounde. South Africa will battle Zimbabwe in the other Group B match later on the same day.
Holders Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Mali make up Group B.
